Unlocking Scripture: Tips for Deeper Understanding

The Word of God is our sure foundation. Scripture alone (sola Scriptura) is the final authority for faith and practice. From scripture, we learn the attributes of God, His commandments for us, history, encouragement, and what to expect in the future. This is why understanding scripture is so vitally important to our faith. Yet, many Christians find themselves struggling to understand certain passages or books of the Bible. How can we, as believers committed to the sufficiency and clarity of God’s Word, grow in our understanding? Here are some biblically grounded tips to help you unlock the riches of Scripture with greater depth and clarity.

Begin with Prayer and Dependence on the Holy Spirit
