Action Words

When you have an action scene in your book, it’s important that the reader can picture themselves in the story. The best way to do this is to use action words that involve the reader. Here are some examples to use in your next scene:

  • Controlled
  • Coordinated
  • Orchestrated
  • Propelled
  • Influenced
  • Conveyed
  • Merged
  • Redesigned
  • Magnified
  • Refocused
  • Exceeded
  • Surpassed

I love this website’s list of comprehensive verbs too: https://www.citationmachine.net/resources/grammar-guides/verb/list-verbs/
