If you want writing to be your career, you have to treat writing like your job. Would you go to work in sweatpants with your hair messy? No. You get dressed, do your hair, brush your teeth, put your makeup on, drink your coffee and mentally get ready for the day. Writing should be no different.
When you enter into your creative space for writing, your mindset should change. Boost the process by getting up and getting dressed first. Dress for success and watch your writing soar. You should always dress for the job you want, not the job you have. So, hit up goodwill and get some nice clothes to wear to write.
You could even get creative and dress in a costume that relates to what you’re writing in order to boost your creativity juices!
